Children Learn through Experience

Using their Five Senses!

Through Godly Play the children are given an opportunity not only to listen to a story, but to see it unfold before their eyes.  They may handle the story items afterwards, run their fingers through the dessert sand, and imagine what it would be like to live through the Bible story they have just heard.  They also experience a 'feast', juice and a cracker, which models the Eucharist.

Each year, as the children grow older, they hear the stories and wonder about them at a deeper level!

Storytellers
Helping children learn through the senses!

Thank you to our dedicated teachers (storytellers), who are greatly loved by our chidlren!

We currently have two faithful storytellers, Lesley Anthony, and Ann Tait, who are spreading their love for God to the children!  We miss Andrea Boomer, another dedicated storyteller, who was with us for several years teaching Sunday School and has moved on to another parish.  Thank you, Andrea, Lesley and Ann, for your years of dedicated service.

Recognition of 30 Years of Faithful Service

Ann Tait - a dedicated teacher

Ann Tait has been teaching Sunday School for over 30 years, and spent the last 10 years as Superintendent.  She stepped down from that role in  May 2019, but has continued as a Godly Play Storyteller.  Her passion for working with children continues!

Our congregation and Sunday School recognized Ann at a special service in May 2019.

"Well done, good and faithful servant!  Matthew 25:23
